For over 20 years, I have seen a handful of chiropractors, some good and some "not so much." When I moved to Black Mountain, I was referred to Dr. Payne by a friend. He is BY FAR the best chiropractor (and healer!) I've ever worked with. I have a connective tissue genetic disorder, long term back, hip, TMJ and cervical damage from a severe car accident, and whatever is hurting or out of place he "straightens out", literally! But to be serious, his care is gentle yet effective, and I consider him one of the best health practioners I've ever worked with. I have been seeing him now over 5 years for ongoing preventative care, and for emergency needs as they arrise. I feel blessed to have him in my health care corner!

Dr Payne is hands down the best chiropractic Dr I have visited! And I have visited several. I am an X professional athlete with several issues. I always feel better after seeing him. He is very conscious of peoples needs and schedules. Thanks for all love and assistance Doc.

I was new to the area about a year ago and don't know why I waited so long to write a review... I was suffering from my usual congenital back disorders after moving to the area and was having a beer at a restaurant in the area. A fellow customer strikes up a conversation noting that I was in pain. Unsolicited I asked if she knew of a great chiropractor in the area... she mention Dr. Payne's name as a solid recommendation. But it was the half dozen people around us who were listening in on our conversation that readily agreed... Well, that was enough for me.
I have had only two chiropractors for the last 30 years before Dr. Neill Payne. I've had occasion to work with some not so good chiropractors. I feel qualified to say that Dr. Neill Payne is a gifted, passionate and devoted Chiropractor who will not quit until every possible adjustment can be manipulated.
Yes, his name is worth a few chuckles... But his hands are worth the visit!!

I came into Dr. Payne's office with frankly alot of Pain, lol. Through getting massages with his medical massage therapist Chris and then getting an adjustment, my pain has gone down from an 8 to a 4 in a couple of months. Dr. Payne has been able to very effectively adjust some very deep spots in my spine that have been stuck for years and subluxated. I have about a month left and I will leave his office before Christmas "Payne-free"! No Payne, no gain! As he says...

Dr. Payne always helps us feel better! We take our whole family to him, even our newborn. There have been many times that a trip to Dr. Payne has saved us a trip to the pediatrician, since an adjustment can help alleviate and even prevent ear infections, colds, colic, etc. Highly recommend!

I see Him on a weekly basis. I suffer from upper back and neck pain resulting in migraines and terrible back pain. Neil helps me along my path by putting everything back into place which stops the migraines from escalating. He is very caring and gives a lot of himself to each patient, I wonder how he is able to but after you get to know him you see how caring and strong of a person he is himself. He is very intuitive in knowing the limitations of a person so never harming them.

Dr. Payne has treated me several times over the years for knee and back issues. He has a great touch, is a good listener, explains what he is doing and why he does it. He's the only chiropractor I feel completely comfortable with and who I trust implicitly for quality care.

Since the time I have been going to so Neil on a weekly basis I feel like I have something to look forward to as in pain relieve each week. I suffer from bad upper back and neck pain resulting in migraines at the drop of a dime. But when i feel like things are escalating Neil can put a stop to it getting worse. He Actually cares about each and every patients which impresses me, that he can put so much of his energy into his work and to each person and not just get you in and out. He is strong but he is very intuitive to your limitations so that he does not hurt you but give you just what i need each time. If you are looking for someone I highly recommend him, he is another alternative reason i'm not going to a pain clinic.
